Welcome to the workshop “Art on fabric: Introduction to linocut for creating prints on clothing“.
In this class, you will learn the basics of the linocut technique and learn how to create unique prints on fabric that will add a unique style to your clothes.
What you can expect:
Part 1: The Basics of Linocut.
Introduction to linocut: the essence of this technique.
Materials and tools: a look at carving tools, types of linoleum and textile dyes.
Preparing linoleum: an overview of cutting and embossing techniques for printing.
Part 2: Creating a fabric print
1. Inspiration and motif selection: finding an idea for a print and transferring it to linoleum.
2. Working with a relief plate: carving a motif, creating different degrees of line thickness.
3. Preparation for printing: applying colors to the relief plate and preparing the fabric.
4. Creative process: creating prints on fabric using different colors and compositions.
End:
At the end of the class, you will have a unique garment with your own hand stamps that will express your individuality and creative outlook. You will also acquire the skills of linocut, which you can use in the creation of other objects.
Warning: Working with linocut tools can be dangerous as it involves cutting materials. Please pay attention to safety and caution when using tools, as well as hand protection.
What to take with you?
For the workshop, we will need a transformation outfit that you can bring with you, or several such items. It can be a shopping bag, fabric handbag, t-shirt, denim shirt, fabric clothing…
You can bring your own template to the workshop or you can choose from our templates.
We have all other tools and colors ready for you in the Atelier.

The price of the workshop is CZK 1,590 (7 hours).
