It is a technique of artistic creation of visual art. The name is derived from the French word “collage”, which means “gluing”. The term collage was coined by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque.
A collage as such is created by putting together, for example, newspaper clippings of text, images and photographs. We have many types of collage – photomontage, rollage, crowding, confrontation, reportage, decollage, chiasmage, anitcollage, assemblage and many others.
In this workshop we will explain the differences between them and try many of them out.
