Pop-up illustrations are like magical theater scenes hidden between the pages of books. When you open the page, these images literally “pop” and transform into a three-dimensional form.
These unique illustrations are not only visually appealing, but play a key role in storytelling and add an interactive element to the books. This is one of the main reasons why they are so popular in children’s books. Imagine opening a book and seeing castles, mysterious forests, or even entire space stations come to life right before your eyes.
What you will learn at the Workshop:
During this workshop, we will explain in detail the technique and magic behind creating pop-up illustrations.
You will learn what materials and tools are needed and how to use them correctly. You will then have the opportunity to create your own three-dimensional images. Under our guidance, you will master the folding, cutting and gluing techniques necessary to create effective pop-up illustrations.
At the end of the workshop, you will take away not only new skills, but also your own handmade pop-up illustration.
